• Sales Word of mouth 
• Newspaper - articles/ TV reports
• How many times its been shown on TV
• Amount of publicity ( Rebecca Black - Friday)
• Downloads (Legal/ illegal)
• Chart success
• Trending topic on Twitter/ Facebook/ Myspace
• It is worth nothing how there has been a massive switch in the importance of youtube from television channels such as MTV. 
• Most viewing of massive videos now appears to be online 
• VMA (Video Music Awards)
